 Church Partnership Leads to a Changed FamilyOM Mexico and OM USA have worked together to establish partnerships between churches in the US and Mexico. During short-term outreaches, groups from churches in the US travel to Mexico to work alongside local fellowships to reach communities without hope. The ministry, as a result of this partnership, has borne fruit. Last year, a church in Mexico City received a group from the US to minister in one of the poorest areas of the city. During one of the visits to that neighborhood, they went to a house where they met a woman. She listened to the Gospel and was so thankful they had come. With tears in her eyes, she asked why the group had left their comfort in the US to come to her community and share the Gospel. She said she was touched because they had come, walked in the dirt, and now she understood that Jesus loves her. Her whole family of 12 gave their lives to the Lord that day.. Since that time, the church in the US has made a second visit and is planning a third, continuing in their partnership of helping the Mexican church reach its community.  |
